Thank you for stopping by.  Pinckney Retreat is a beautiful, welcoming neighborhood in Port Royal, South Carolina.  Our community of seventy-seven homesites overlooks Battery Creek and the always changing tidal marsh.  We are nestled among beautiful live oak trees draped with Spanish moss, and we are surrounded by history.

Within Pinckney Retreat is the Retreat House.  Once part of an historic plantation, the original 1736 home is said to be the oldest tabby house in South Carolina.  It has been restored and is available for use by residents.  Nearby Beaufort, the second oldest city in South Carolina, is full of its own rich history, historic buildings and homes.
